Calling all young artists out there, The Big Issue’s annual competition to design one of their festive magazine covers is now open. This fantastic incentive for kids to send in their most creative and fun designs started in 2013 and really captures the minds of a lot of young people across the nation.
With mass participation the key agenda, The Big Issue states that ‘Designs can take any form, from drawings to paintings and even digital art, so get your pens, pencils, crayons, tablets – and glitter – at the ready!’
Not only will the winning design be on the front cover of a magazine that is read by tens of thousands of people up and down the country, there is also a special prize that will be awarded for the best group entry. What better excuse than to group together your friends or your class at school and get a design sent in.
The Big Issue is vitally important for all the vendors out there and the Christmas time of year is when they really need our help the most. The winners have ranged from 7 years old to 11, so get your creative juices flowing, get funky, don’t think anything is too silly and get those entries in!!!
The deadline is 21st November and all the info you need is on The Big Issue site.
