A group of school kids reduced the internet to tears after they learned sign language to wish their deaf caretaker a surprise happy birthday.
Reception class at Hickerson Elementary in Tennessee, US, stood on one side of their classroom waiting for their caretaker, Mr James, to walk in. As soon as he did, the teacher kickstarted the singing of happy birthday, while the children all signed the song.
By the look on his face, Mr James wasn’t expecting the gesture at all. His mouth dropped, his hands shot up to his head, and he had a beaming smile on his face.
Our Kindergarten classes learned how to sign Happy Birthday for Mr. James' birthday today. He was so surprised! 💛🖤💛🖤 pic.twitter.com/OXQ3gDnpbh— Hickerson Elementary (@HickersonSchool) October 23, 2018
As expected, the internet is going crazy for this and we absolutely love it.
