Remember, Remember the 5th of November. It’s almost that time of the year people! Bonfire Night is soon to be upon us. With the bright lights sparkling in the winter sky, the celebration of Guy Fawkes’ failed gunpowder plot is one of the great British annual traditions, which brings families and friends together to commemorate the event with a wonderful spectacle of fireworks, bonfires and piping hot, yet delicious, jacket potato’s! If you happen to find yourself at a loose end, not sure where or how to celebrate Fireworks evening this year, then fear no more! We here at KidsKnowBest have pulled together a selection of some of the biggest Firework displays throughout the nation, to ensure that nobody misses out!

London (Alexandra Palace)

Located at the ‘Ally Pally’ in North London, this firework display is held upon beautiful scenery, over-looking a backdrop of the entire capital city, to truly light up the skies of London. With an ice-skating rink, a street-food festival and (for the parents!) a German beer garden, accompanied with live-entertainment, how about getting down here early doors and enjoying what’s on offer before the celebrations begin?

The Fireworks will begin at 9pm on Friday 3rd November and 8pm on the 4th, with the aforementioned entertainment prior to the display opening at 5pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday, with admission £11 per person. This is an excellent evening out for the whole family to enjoy an astonishing display of fireworks, overlooking a beautiful view of London.

Cardiff (Coopers Field, Bute Park)

The annual ‘Sparks in The Park’ event, the largest firework display in the whole of Wales, returns to Bute Park on Saturday November 4th. Following last year’s sell-out event, this year’s display will again be a ticket only display, with all proceeds being donated to charity! The display has continued to grow over the past 30 years and this year looks set to be the best (and biggest!) display to date. If you are in the Cardiff area, we highly recommend paying a visit with the family!

Entry is £10 for an adult, £5 for children and £25 for a family of four. The bonfire will begin at 6:15pm, with the fireworks display following shortly after at 7pm. Tickets are selling fast so act quickly to avoid disappointment!

Edinburgh (Meadowbank Stadium)

An annual event in the Scottish capital for over 30 years, this will be the last time the display is held at the Meadowbank Stadium for a while whilst in undergoes redevelopment and is set to be the biggest one the stadium has ever held to date! The occasion will be following a sci-fi theme, so we recommend digging your best ‘Princess Leia’ or ‘Doctor Who’ outfits out of the wardrobe!

The event will be held on Sunday 5th November, with pre-display entertainment commencing at 6:30, with the Fireworks following at 7:30pm, entry is £7 per person. Be there or be square!
